This beautiful blouse caught my attention, and I just had to offer it on Go Fashions ink. However, as I worked on the description, I came upon the term “slub”. Slub fabric was a term new to me. I wondered if slub was a typo made by the manufacturer. So, I set out to see if this was a typo. Based on my short research, I discovered that it was not a typo, and that it is a term used in the fashion industry.
Per the experts, slub fabric is textured fabric composed of irregular thickness in the strands. I worked with various slub fabrics without knowing the term. Live and learn. At one time, when a slub appeared in the fabric during process it was considered a void, and the fabric or that section was discarded. Then someone had this ingenious idea to process fabric with these imperfections. The idea opened doors to new and different fabrics.
Here’s the Slub Blouse, on Go Fashions ink that peaked my curiosity. As you can see the blouse is highly-textured. This blouse was made in the USA. Yes, made in the US. The manufacturer also made it in US sizes, small medium and large!
The fabric content is 96% rayon and 4% spandex. That combination makes a soft and lithe fabric. The brand LC02-06 offers it in olive. Combining long-bell sleeves, cowl neck, tulip hemline, in a light and fluidly fabric, makes a pretty and romantic top.
